What Owners Say
Owners and enthusiasts consistently praise the BAKFlip G2 for its straightforward installation and clever functionality, particularly the ability to flip completely against the cab window without removal for full bed access. The design earns high marks for keeping most water out, though some note minor leakage depending on parking angle and wind direction. The main criticism centers on durability concerns—the anodized aluminum surface scratches and chips more easily than expected, and rubber protection pads wear out quickly, potentially causing further scratching. Some long-term users question whether an $800-$1,150 cover should last longer than five years. Despite these durability concerns, the G2 maintains a strong reputation among truck owners who value its ease of use and versatile access options.
