What Owners Say

Owners and enthusiasts consistently praise the Akrapovic Sound Kit for delivering significantly louder volume, especially on startup, while maintaining remarkable versatility with valves closed—zero drone and civil enough for daily driving. The system earns recognition for substantial weight savings (around 23.7% lighter than stock) and modest power gains of approximately 11 HP. Fitment and build quality receive strong marks, with the aesthetic improvement frequently highlighted. The main criticism centers on the valve system not remembering the last setting, requiring manual adjustment after each startup. Some find the overall system unnecessarily complicated compared to simpler alternatives. Despite these minor gripes, the Akrapovic Sound Kit maintains a solid reputation among BMW performance enthusiasts seeking a premium exhaust upgrade with genuine dual-personality capability.
